1.) Inventory Management Business Analyst
POSITION CONCEPT
The primary responsibility of an Inventory Management Business Analyst is to support TEC Stores Operations by providing specific Inventory based operational reports and materials related data for: availability, statistical tracking, cost tracking, inventory reporting, material forecasting and market conditions that affect the business operations. The Inventory Management Business Analyst responds to frequent requests from business unit management for ad-hoc reports and analysis and assists with the establishment of additional processes for cost control, inventory, operational effectiveness, and process improvement.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and prepares operational reports (contractor usage, inventory, procurement operational statistics) for TEC Distribution Operations, Transmission Operations, and Substation. 15%
- Works closely with technical engineering and operational staff to determine appropriate inventory requirements (min/max reviews). Conduct annual reviews of historical usage to projections & reservation requirements. 20%
- Contractor Issuances and Major Materials – Oversees the issuance of material to contractors including proactive audits of material at contractor storage yards. Ensures that material is available and issued in a timely manner to meet operational needs. Maintains compliance with corporate guidelines for material storage and inventory control. Oversees all reconciliation activity associated with contractor work requests. (15%)
- Manages the timely and accurate input & tracking of all transactions concerning goods receipts, goods issues, goods transfers. Assist in the development of monthly reviews to ensure accuracy is being achieved. 10%
- Major Project Support – Provides direct support to project teams in ED that require significant material coordination such as with multi-year reliability projects and system retrofits. 10%
- Work closely with planning groups to identify and account for reconciliation material (TEC & Contractor) to ensure accurate accounting & issuing of material. 10%
- Works with team members to provide process related data and operational data to determine areas for potential improvements. 10%
- Assists in establishing procedures to improve costs controls and process improvement efficiencies, including development of operational systems and tools. 10%
RELATIONSHIPS
Key Internal: Frequent contact with supervisors, managers, Directors, and employees from different departments including Operations & Engineering, Construction Services, Finance, Standards, Planning & Scheduling, Procurement, and others.
Key External: Emera affiliates, vendors, contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: Minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited university required
Preferred: Four year degree in a relevant field from an accredited university is preferred and acceptable in lieu of up to 3 years of the required experience.
Related Experience
Required: Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in Budgeting, Supply Chain, Materials and reporting in an operations environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required: Budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytical skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must understand cost control. Proficient in SAP, WorkPro, WorkPro Companion, and Workman.

2.) Sr Inventory Management Business Analyst
POSITION CONCEPT
The Sr Inventory Management Business Analyst supports TEC Stores Operations by providing specific Inventory based operational reports and materials related data for availability, statistical tracking, cost tracking, inventory reporting, material forecasting and market conditions that affect business operations. Respond to frequent requests from business unit management at senior levels for ad-hoc reports and analysis. Assists with the establishment of additional processes for cost control, inventory, operational effectiveness, and process improvement. Responsible for maintaining all “Material Master” functions in Tampa Electric Company’s ERP (SAP) system supporting Tampa Electric, Peoples Gas, and New Mexico Gas Company. Provide guidance, training, and direction to the Inventory Management Business Analyst role.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct coordination with Stores supervisors, operations planning, & engineering & design teams to ensure up to date processes & policies are being developed and followed (Inventory best practices, inventory accuracy, cycle counts), identify and account for reconciliation material (TEC & Contractor) to ensure accurate accounting & issuing of material, and lead in establishing procedures to improve cost controls and process improvement efficiencies, including development of operational systems and tools. (10%)
- Develop, prepare, & implement workflows supporting operational reports (contractor usage, inventory, procurement operational statistics) for TEC ED areas including Distribution Operations, Transmission Operations, Substation, Meter, Lighting, ES Power Plant operations, and Solar. (10%) 3. Lead cross-functional project teams in area(s) of expertise and involving areas of high complexity such as process improvement initiatives and alliance execution. Responsible for project outcomes. Focus on reducing total cost of ownership through purchasing leverage (i.e. vendor rationalization), material standardization, technology changes and overall market knowledge, with emphasis on forecasted needs and material lead times. (20%)
- Create and manage KPI's to measure, control and benchmark stores processes including creation of recurring metrics reports. Historical usage patterns, slow-no moving material reviews, track material upgrades/changes to ensure approved material is available - work closely with the Standards department to remove outdated material. Coordinate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reports. (15%)
- Develop, implement, and manage timely and accurate input and tracking of all transactions concerning goods receipts, goods issues, goods transfers. Assist in the development of monthly reviews to ensure accuracy is achieved. Administer stores dashboards for TEC teams to provide data for analysis and improvement. (20%)
- Lead a team of inventory analysts in performing Material Master functions, which include creating and changing master data records, controlling, and monitoring the master data processes. Create, consolidate, and distribute master data. Ensure timely processing of all requests and determine when master data object already exists in the central system. Ensure compliance with current company policies and regulatory standards. (15%)
- Maintain system information to ensure accurate and complete data (items, stocking levels, duplicates, attrition, standards etc.) Assess current systems, customer needs, and identify ideas for system improvements and execute testing of deliverables. (5%)
- Support manager in all related audit engagements – both internal and external. Supports the development and tracking of M&S Budgets (Actual & Forecast) and other annual audit/regulatory reporting requirements. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or Supply Chain Management.
Related Experience
Required: Minimum of (6) six years of inventory management and supply chain management.

Required:
- Advanced database and analytical knowledge.
- Advanced knowledge of inventory management, including inventory count events and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of stores processes and practices: forecasts, accurate material lists, lead times and impact to project success.
