POSITION CONCEPT
The Project Coordinator – New Construction supports the integration, implementation, and oversight of Electric New Construction project management practices across the entire organization. Assists in developing communication strategies, procedures, and project-related initiatives to promote effective delivery. Contributes to developing essential deliverables and project plans, aiming to enhance project-level outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction. Responsibilities include crafting communications, preparing presentations, and coordinating project-related events. Supports key project management tasks as needed, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule, assisting in risk mitigation, providing progress updates, and assessing the effectiveness of project initiatives.
 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Risk Management & Documentation. Identifies and develops solutions to mitigate potential communication risks.  Manage project documentation, ensuring all relevant information, including project plans, progress reports, and meeting minutes, are accessible to stakeholders. Performs ongoing maintenance, storage, and execution of the Document Management Plan, ensures comprehensive documentation management beyond content creation and distribution. 
  • Coordination and Collaboration. Works closely with project managers, team members, and other departments to ensure cohesive communication and effective information sharing within the project team. Facilitates the flow of project updates and information, ensures all parties are aligned and informed about project developments and milestones. Acts as the liaison between One Source and NCPM.
  • Content Creation and Management. Responsible for preparing, editing, and distributing materials specifically tailored for the steering committee and executive reporting, including detailed reports, presentations, and executive summaries. Manages content for internal communication platforms to ensure that critical project updates and insights are accurately and effectively communicated to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement. Facilitates effective communication with stakeholders, including project team members, clients, and partners. Organizes and supports meetings, workshops, and other events to keep stakeholders informed and engaged with project developments. 
  • Project Support. Collaborates with project team leads, business stakeholders, and impacted departments to facilitate clear communication and alignment of project objectives. Schedule and organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and facilitate discussions. Assists in managing project timelines, tracking action items, ensure follow-up, assessing team resources, and identifies potential risks or issues to support successful project delivery.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

  • Required:    High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Preferred:     Associate's degree from an accredited university.

Experience

  • Required:    3 years’ experience in residential and commercial project coordination and communication.
  • Preferred:     
    • Experience in supporting change initiatives, including developing and communicating procedural and curriculum changes.  
    • Project management experience, particularly in a utility or highly regulated industry.
    • Experience with building effective communication materials with attention to detail.
    • Experience in developing communications and/or training solutions.

WORK CONDITIONS

Expected to be at the office a minimum of three (3) days per week.  Occasional travel and storm restoration overtime is required.
