Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our Tampa Electric customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.

POSITION CONCEPT

The Physical Security Coordinator is responsible for Electronic Access Control System, Security Locksmith Functions to meet ASIS Physical Security, TSA, NERC and corporate security requirements, include programming, developing system designs, installations, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, administrative duties, security assessments, records retention, and emergency repairs on a 24 hour per day basis. Responsible for managing external resources, contractors, integrators and coordinating internal resources for the completion of assigned maintenance and capital projects.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Serve as Administrator of “CCure 9000” Access Control System. 30%

 

  1. Responsible for coordinating physical security contracts to include contractor performance management, quality control, specification development, RFP process, technical evaluation of bid responses, contractor selection and evaluation, price negotiation, external resource schedules and coordination of services with our clients. 20%

 

  1. Responsible for managing the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and inventory levels of the company’s Hard Key systems and “CCure 9000” Access Control System. This includes a focus on meeting ASIS, TSA, NERC compliancy standards regarding these systems.  20%

 

  1. Design and maintain records for the company’s master key systems. 10%

 

  1. Participates in the recommendation and selection process of external contractors to provide maintenance and asset replacement services for Tampa Electric, and company affiliates  owned and leased facilities. 10%

 

  1. Recommend and approve as required; systems, materials, products, services, standards and policies related to Physical Security activities. 10%

 

 

RELATIONSHIPS

Key Internal:                      Interfaces with all levels of management relating to physical security.  Provides technical training to all company supporting team members.

 

Key External:                     Interfaces with contractors, suppliers, consultants, service providers, integrators and public safety agencies. 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required:            High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:           Associates degree in Computer Science or an applicable technical degree with 3 years of technical experience in the physical security systems and applications.

 

Licenses/Certifications

Required:            Certified CCure 9000 Installer/Maintainer.

Preferred:           Locksmith certification from Associated Locksmiths of America “ALOA” or other professional certification.

 

Experience 

Required:            5 years of technical experience in physical security systems and applications.

CCure 9000 Access Control System experience maintaining, installing and designing systems required.

Preferred:           Operational knowledge of video surveillance systems. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)

Required:       Working knowledge with design, installation, and maintenance of access control

Equipment. Direct knowledge in contract management and negotiations

Preferred:           Registered locksmith with knowledge level to design and install master keys systems and maintain all types of locking systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Provide 24/7 support for all emergency calls and responses to meet business needs.  Required to work extended hours and weekend including hours.  Working environment to include hot working conditions indoors and outdoors; and during inclement/hazardous weather.  Mandatory use of protective clothing and hearing protection. Required to occasionally work on energized equipment.

 

Physical Demands/Requirements

Bending, kneeling, climbing, carrying loads of 50lbs., holding, squatting, reaching and repetitive movements to include grasping, pushing, and pulling and fine manipulation of hands.
