POSITION CONCEPT
The Change Enablement Consultant will play a key role in ensuring change initiatives meet objectives by increasing employee adoption. Focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, and technology. Play a key role in driving organizational transformation by developing and implementing change management strategies and plans that ensure successful adoption of changes across the organization. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify change impacts, mitigate resistance, and facilitate smooth transitions to achieve desired business outcomes.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Change Enablement Project Support (60%)
- Lead change on a variety of projects (including some large scale, complex, and transformational projects) concurrently.
- Serve as key partner with the HR team on development of change strategies.
- Develop and execute change enablement strategies and plans for organizational initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
- Conduct change intake discussions and run impact analysis and assess change readiness.
- Lead stakeholder and readiness assessments to identify risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
- Develop and execute communication and training plans, in partnership with internal/external partners as appropriate, to enhance awareness, secure buy-in, and drive adoption across the organization.
- Provide on-going communications and status updates on change management deliverables.
- Collaborate and, at times, provide functional direction to the change resources or other project resources/stakeholders coordinating assessments, developing communications, and identifying training needs/plans.
- Actively participate in project meetings and provide guidance on change-related matters.
- Track, monitor and manage change deliverables on a regular basis and communicate status/metrics to project team/business owners.
- Consolidate and provide regular updates regarding the management of the work and resource plan on assigned projects to change leadership team.
2. Communications (20%)
- Develop and implement communication plans to effectively convey initiatives and changes to stakeholders across the organization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including sponsors, business owners, and impacted team members as well as the Project Management Office, Human Resources and Marketing and Communications, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
- Support the development of reference guides, FAQs, videos, scripting, workflows and other documentation.
3. Training (10%)
- Identify training needs and for impacted stakeholder groups, collaborating with existing training teams as necessary. Work with stakeholders and business owners to identify appropriate training resources. Develop training material as necessary when training teams are not available.
- Perform train the trainer training as necessary.
- Assist in building change management capabilities within program and project teams.
- Ensure adherence to organizational governance and standard procedures in all training and development activities.
- Utilize creative, alternative approaches to traditional classroom training, including e-learning.
4. Enterprise Change Enablement Functional Support (10%)
- Collaborate closely with the Manager, Enterprise Change Enablement and the Director of HR to support the implementation and maintenance of the Enterprise Change Enablement program.
- Attends industry groups and applicable conferences to maintain standards.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the change team to enhance performance and achieve objectives in strong partnership with the HRBP team and other internal stakeholders as needed (Corporate Communications, internal Training teams, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Change Management, Human Relations, Public Relations, Communication or related field.
Preferred: CCMP from ACMP, Prosci®or LaMarsh Practitioner certification or a similar certification.
Experience
Required: 3 years related experience including supporting organizational change initiatives with significant change management accountability; experience with large scale initiatives; advanced consulting skills including influencing, negotiating, working across organizations, decision-making and problem-solving
Preferred: Previous utility experience in a related role (including change management, OD, communications, training). Experience supporting large and/or multiple strategic transformational programs from a change management and/or program management perspective.

Required:
- Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and motivate stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to think strategically and quick learner who can juggle multiple priorities, will proactively make connections with stakeholders across the business and can make decisions even when there are areas of ambiguity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to lead conversations and create stakeholder engagement across the organization as well as building and maintaining strong positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on advancing results and achieving desired outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines with a high level of attention to detail.
- Establish and maintain relationships with all levels across the company and external partners.
- Strong project management skills.
Preferred: Experience using tools such as Adobe Captivate, Canva or Articulate a plus.

WORK CONDITIONS
Employees are expected to be at the office unless otherwise agreed to by their performance coach and/or by the needs of the projects they support. Occasional travel and storm restoration overtime is required.

Required: Entails supporting, and at times, leading multifaceted transformational initiatives within a dynamic organizational environment. This position requires the ability to navigate through intricate stakeholder landscapes, decipher diverse business requirements, and synthesize complex information to develop and execute comprehensive change strategies. Must adeptly balance competing priorities, mitigate risks, and address challenges inherent in large-scale change efforts. Fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams, guiding them through ambiguity, and driving alignment towards common goals.
