Title: Lineworker

Shift: 8 Hr. X 5 Days
Provides support to Transmission and Distribution Line crews in the form of controlling vehicular traffic to ensure job-site safety and other duties that may be required. The Utility Worker-Line accomplishes other duties as directed by the Crew Leader.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Each item should account for ≥10%).
- Provide traffic control support to line crews performing work along public and private traffic ways.
- Assist line crew in setup on job site.
- Operate company light vehicles.
- Make deliveries such as tools, parts and materials.
- Load and unload vehicles as directed by line personnel.
- Perform salvage preparation duties (separating materials, etc.).
- Makes up hand coils, extension cords, hoses, etc.
- Perform general housekeeping duties such as clean shop/truck-ramp areas, tools, ice coolers (and fill), and field work areas, etc.
- Perform work in accordance with all job-related Safe Work Practices.
- Perform work resulting in positive customer interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid Class “E” Florida Driver License. Must attend and successfully complete Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) training within 30 days of starting the job to remain in the classification Must comply with company safe work practices, work rules, work procedures, regulations and policies.

WORK CONDITIONS
Requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions including heat, cold and rain. Requires responding to emergency call-outs, holdover and pre-arranged overtime to an acceptable level. May be required to travel inside and outside of the service area.
