POSITION CONCEPT: 
Responsible for the support, administration, data administration, and testing of technology systems and processes core to the daily operation of Solar Operations and Energy Storage. This position enhances the alignment between business processes and technology to increase department productivity. Works closely with internal business partners and technical staff to deliver solutions that are in alignment with company strategies and business plans.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Builds a thorough understanding of Solar Operations and Energy Storage business areas, current, and future processes to support process automation and improvement.  Develops software applications and technology solutions in alignment with strategic plans to achieve long term improvements and optimize department performance. 
  • Supports Tampa Electric, Energy Supply Solar Operations and Energy Storage/Renewables SharePoint, and intranet. Works closely with SharePoint administrators and end users to provide solutions to business process needs and access to data.  
  • Prioritize, schedule, and oversee day-to-day operational duties including Warranty tracking, New Material requests, Procurement requests and financial reporting in applications such as SAP, Workman, SharePoint, and other Business Systems Support Systems. 
  • Creates reports, queries, and data extracts, providing data to users as requested.  Monitors supported applications to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoots problems with supported applications, analyzes and takes appropriate action to correct.  
  • Promotes the development of these systems including advancement of user knowledge of these applications/systems to support Solar Operations and Energy Storage goals and vision. 
  • Maintain training programs and develop end-user documentation to ensure application/system continuity and knowledge transfer.  

 

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: College degree in a relevant field from an accredited college/university is preferred and may be considered in lieu of equivalent years of related experience.

 

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum of 3 years of related experience in progressively more complex assignments.  Related experience consists of supporting business areas and applications, end-user support, and process analysis.  

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Required: Expert in Microsoft Office Products.  Proficient in Workman, SharePoint, and demonstrate Knowledge of server-based applications, including operation and administration. Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies. Must have strong interpersonal, communication, good project management, time management, verbal/written communication, and critical thinking skills.
