Tampa Electric and its sister companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our Tampa Electric customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.

POSITION CONCEPT:

This position supports administration, configuration, data administration, and testing of computer systems and application core to Energy Supply (ES) with emphasis on SharePoint. Provide support to Technology Analyst, Sr. in the optimization of departmental performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and technology. This position shall serve as support for the development, implementation, maintenance, and governance of these systems.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

-Works with minimal supervision on all phases of business process analysis and redesign. Provides support for moderately complex business processes, applications and interfaces crossing multiple platforms and databases.

-Participates in diverse, medium sized, complex technical projects, including the evaluation of current processes, automation, and software applications with a focus on providing technology solutions in alignment with business and strategic plans.

-Create reports crossing multiple databases and platforms. Provides data to users as requested. Monitors supported applications to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

-Provides support between ES and other technical groups. Develops relationships with key customers including face-to-face, on-site interactions. Participates in meetings and communicates with end-users and stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information and updates.

-Participates in feasibility studies and research to prepare cost / benefit justifications for technology solutions. Assist with determining and securing appropriate technical and business personnel resources to facilitate successful completion of approved projects.

-Supports the collection, analysis, review, documentation and communication of business needs and requirements to IT programming and other technical staff. Provide input in the prioritization of technology related projects.

 

 

EDUCATION:

Required: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred: Applicable associate degree, two-year technical degree, or technical certification.

 

LISCENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Required:

Preferred: Technical License or Certifications

 

EXPERIENCE:

Required: A minimum of 2 years’ work experience related to Duties & Responsibilities as seen above and providing Technology Analyst solutions 

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Required: Working knowledge of SharePoint, Workman and LMS Systems. Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Preferred: Working knowledge of Power BI, analytics, and integration of Microsoft products.
