Title: Coordinator Design and Construction Performance Improvement

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Coordinator Design and Construction Performance Improvement (DCPI) is responsible for ensuring the sustainability of all DCPI improvements related goals and objectives. Collaboratively work with the design and construction team, sales, operations, and IT to drive work standardization and efficiencies. Maintain a change management focus by ensuring all team members and being effectively communicated to with regular conveyance of process changes. Ensures the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of processes, systems, behaviors, roles, responsibilities, and accountability improvements of the design and construction performance improvement (DCPI) process.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Serve as owner of improvement opportunities that are brought through the Opportunity Resolution Program (ORP) site and manages ORP list. Coordinates and oversees opportunities on lists between territories. Review and reach out to team members who submitted opportunities and evaluate if more information is required. Model the behaviors and attitudes that align with the Continuous Improvement model.
  • Accountable for ensuring the implementation and sustainability of all DCPI related continuous improvement goals, metrics, programs/platforms. Organize and keep track of Corrective Teams/Task Force and offer aid and guidance to ensure project alignment.
  • Responsible to facilitate and/or draft communication to stakeholders on changes and wins achieved through the ORP tool. Responsible for maintaining the security to the ORP tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, etc.). Train Design & Construction teams and others as needed on DCPI - ORP, ORP collection tool, Management Tool Kit (MTK) tools, etc.
  • Provide guidance to leadership on the Management tool Kit and tools, including KPIs and Metrics reporting and review. Provide post visit reports and communications to the team members involved in the visit and their direct management. Provide guidance to administrative roles that help implement standard operating procedures and processes that coincide with ORP/DCPI findings. Potential to oversee future audit of the DCPI performance improvement process.

 

What We’re Looking For

Must Haves:

  • Associate degree in related field.
  • Valid Florida State Driver’s License with clean driving record.
  • 4 years of gas utility experience with demonstrated work in progressively more complex assignments related to duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • Demonstrates leadership attributes; works collaboratively with other departments; multi-task and oversee multiple engagements simultaneously; establish expectations aligned with department strategy.
  • Demonstrates the ability to complete complex duties requiring independent judgment and the interpretation of policies and procedures.
  • Excellent investigative, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication proficiency and need to have ability to build strong interpersonal and interdepartmental relationships including consulting, influencing and strong critical thinking and detailed analytical/problem solving.
  • Proficiency in problem solving and process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook

 

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of two years of equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), American Society for Quality (ASQ), Six Sigma, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Experience in change management, compliance, internal audit, construction & engineering, and gas operations.
  • Continuous Improvement Experience (Six Sigma, Lean, etc).
  • Change Management Experience and understanding (ADKAR, PROSCI, etc)
  • Proficient in Power Automate, Power BI, and/or PowerApps.

Working Conditions
