Title: Account Manager Outside Sales    
Company: TECO Partners
State and City: Florida   -  Jacksonville
Shift: 8 Hr. X 5 Days





The Account Manager, under minimum supervision, builds and maintains relationships with new and established commercial/industrial accounts. Assists the Regional Sales Manager in designing and implementing sales strategies. Supports regional and company efforts to increase sales of natural gas and other energy related services. Serves as the liaison between the Company, contractors, gas advantage dealers, and commercial and industrial customers. This position pays a base salary + commission. 


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for adding new commercial/industrial customers, in the assigned area, using natural gas and other energy related services.
  • Establishes, maintains and develops business relationships with existing and potential customers in the assigned area.
  • Responsible for the retention of existing commercial/industrial accounts using natural gas and other energy related services.
  •  Serves as the single point of contact for the division’s commercial/industrial accounts regarding natural gas and other energy related sales, and program sales. Facilitates and coordinates activities between TECO Partners and natural gas and other energy related services for commercial/industrial customers.
  • Continuously communicates with management, operations, co-workers and customers to improve the delivery of TECO Partners gas products and services to ensure we are exceeding our customers’ expectations.
  • Coordinates all sales efforts with Regional Sales Manager, sales staff, operations and inside sales employees.
  • Gains trust and credibility as an industry expert in the customer’s field of business by completely understanding the energy industry and by providing solutions for our customers. Keeps abreast of the products, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends in the assigned region.
  • Attends tradeshows and conventions.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


What We’re Looking For

Must Haves:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum of 3 - 4 years sales experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong negotiating and prospecting skills.
  • Must have excellent cold calling skills and be extremely organized.



  • Bachelor’s Degree.
