Supervisor, Operations
This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
This position pays between $96,000.00 to $120,000.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.
The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Roswell Service Center.
About This Opportunity
We’re seeking a people‑focused supervisor to lead teams that support the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to our communities. This role oversees multiple functional groups responsible for construction, maintenance, service installations, operations, meter repairs, and related field and warehouse activities across our transmission and distribution systems. It’s a great opportunity to lead skilled teams, prioritize safety, and make a daily impact in a community‑serving utility. This position will primarily oversee Construction, Line Locating and Leak Survey for Roswell and Artesia, and will be based out of the Roswell Office.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Creates general work assignments for the group and directs, schedules, and controls specific assignments as necessary, during normal work hours or emergency call-out
- Ensures all personnel are properly trained in each aspect of their job
- Provides goals and objectives, a budget to achieve these, and ensures proper cost management in area of responsibility
- Ensures the group follows all guidelines related to loss control and provides adequate training and resources to accomplish work safely
- Provides long-range direction regarding department goals and objectives
Successful Candidate Must Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree (an additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- 3 years of direct experience performing the duties in operations within a natural gas utility, the maintenance/construction industry, the plumbing industry, engineering field, or other related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of related experience is required
- Preferences: 1 year of supervisory experience or in a lead role providing direct oversight and control of a team or project.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment with frequent site visits to Gas operations work locations in New Mexico, requiring travel throughout the state. Field operations environment. May be on 24-hour call during various periods of time. Ability to sit up to 2/3 of the time and to stand, walk, and stoop up to 1/3 of the time. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
