Construction & Maintenance Tech / Sr. Construction & Maintenance Tech

This position will be open to Internal and External applicants and will close on Wednesday, December 13, 2023..

 

The Construction & Maintenance Tech position pays between $42,400 to $53,000. The Sr. Construction & Maintenance Tech position pays between S48,000 to $60,00. The position is based on skills, experience, and education of the successful candidate.

 

The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Farmington Gas Service Center.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This list does not reflect the job duties in their entirety

 

  1. Prepare job sites for safe operation
  2. Frequent work around live gas mains and services performing taps, stop-offs, or tie-ins.
  3. Excavate the site using manual tools, excavating machinery, and shoring following all safety procedures
  4. Installation and maintenance of steel pipe or non-steel systems Polyethylene (PE) plastic pipe utilizing heat fusion/electrofusion.
  5. Perform various safety tests, including pressure tests, on gas pipelines.
  6. Operate and perform preventative and corrective inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
  7. Technicians who possess Journeyman Gasfitters license may perform routine, after-hours, and emergency light-ups (as needed by location)

 

*Senior Level-Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities

 

We’re Looking for Someone With:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 0-3 years of related experience
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain a New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within one (1) year of hire through company-provided paid training
  • Preferences: Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Haz-mat endorsement

 

*Senior Construction & Maintenance Tech requires 3 years of experience, a CDL, and Journeyman Gas Fitter’s License (JGL) dependent on location
