Linespotter/Sr. Linespotter

This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

 

Pay for the Linespotter position is in the range of $42,400 to $53,000, and for the Senior Linespotter pay is in the range of $48,000 to $60,000 and is dependent upon skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
This list does not reflect the job duties in their entirety.

  • Locates and marks underground facilities as requested to prevent damage by other excavating contractors and individuals.
  • Maintains accurate records of work performed.
  • Develops knowledge of other utility underground and field construction practices.
  • Checks and repairs damaged coating on lines (as needed by location).
  • Maintains locating equipment to ensure accurate operating condition.

*Senior Level Includes- Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities

 

Successful Candidate Must Have:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record 
  • Senior Linespotter requires 4 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline
  • Preference: 3+ years of line locating experience on large-scale projects

 

Working Conditions:
Ability to walk, sit, stand, lift/move 30 lbs. Good vision and manual dexterity. Work performed in field environment, and may be required to work overtime and/or on call, at various job sites, out of town, and/or remote locations.
