Systems Analyst (Multiple Levels)

This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

The Systems Analyst position pays between $63,440 to $79,300; the Senior Systems Analyst position pays between $78,640 to $98,300; the Systems Analyst Consultant position pays between $95,360 to $119,200. Placement in any level is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

In this position, you will develop software of moderate complexity based on specifications provided, provide primary and/or secondary support for one or more applications, and participate on Application Development and Support team. 
 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops software of moderate complexity based on specifications provided.  
• Implements software packages for which moderate configuration and integration is required; interaction with vendor resources remotely or onsite may be required.
• Integrates applications with moderately complex interfaces based on specifications provided.
• Provides 24x7 primary and/or secondary support for one or more applications classified as niche, core, or mission critical. 
• Supports the request and analysis phases of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by producing required documentation and estimates with review by more senior staff.
• Executes the design, development, and implementation phases of SDLC by producing the prescribed deliverables with review by more senior staff.
• Participates on an Application Development and Support team as well as project teams under the direction of their manager, senior team members, or project managers. May function as Technical Lead on small projects.
• Acquires and maintains knowledge of business areas relevant to projects and application support assignments.

*Senior SA, and Consultant SA-Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities
 

Successful Candidate Must Have: 

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Information and/or Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Systems Analyst: 2 years of experience
• Senior Systems Analyst: 6 years of experience
• Systems Analyst Consultant: 10 years of experience and professional certification in specific job-related disciplines
• For Entry and Senior levels, additional experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred experience with Oracle Linux and PL/SQL, testing tools (Selenium and Jira/Xray), and C#

WORKING CONDITIONS 
Normal office environment with occasional statewide travel within New Mexico. May be required to   be on-call as needed. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
