GIS Analyst

City:  Albuquerque
State:  NM

 

This position will be open to internal and external applicants  and will close on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

 

This position pays between $54,720.00 to $68,400.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans, prioritizes, schedules, and performs spatial analysis and application development for various geographic information systems Develops, enables, and supports spatial electronic data extraction, collection, processing, and deployment companywide and Programs and supports applications, tools, and user interfaces for management of geographic information, data analysis, map production, and enhancements to existing applications
  • Provides aerial and raster support through acquisition, collection, and deployment of data and tools through various GIS mediums statewide
  • Provides global position system (GPS) application development, training, and support to field personnel for data collection efforts statewide
  • Provides expert guidance and training to others in the development regarding construction of maps and related graphic material


We’re Looking for Someone With:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, GIS, geology, geography, or related field
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • 3-5 years of gas utility GIS experience or other related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline. 
  • Preferences:  Familiarity with Utility Network functionality and data management tools  and familiarity with Linear Referencing 

 

Working Conditions
Ability to sit up to 2/3 of the time and to stand, walk, and stoop up to 1/3 of the time.  Good vision and ability to adjust focus is required.  Manual dexterity is required.  Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Office environment.  Some fieldwork is required.
