Contracts Analyst

City:  Albuquerque
State:  NM

 

This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. 

 

This position pays between $64,400 to $80,500 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the selection and development of suppliers by preparing evaluation criteria, assist with negotiations, implementing contracts, and managing and reviewing supplier performance and improvement targets to ensure goals are met such as cost, service, and quality.
  • Participates in the RFI/RFQ/RFP process under direction by preparing draft materials, coordinating responses, and review proposals to support sourcing decisions.
  • Assists in the development of sourcing strategies by gathering and organizing data related to financial performance, vendor profiles, and expenditure to support broader strategic initiatives.
  • Supports the implementation of sourcing plans by coordinating documentation timelines, assisting with basic implementation tasks, and maintaining certificates of insurance to ensure continuous and current coverage for all vendors.
  • Assists with policy documentation and compliance by supporting adherence to work standards and regulatory requirements through recordkeeping, communication, and inputting all new contracts and amendments into the contracting database.

 

Successful Candidate Must Have: 

  • A valid driver's license
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 4 years of related experience
  • Preferences: Experience negotiating contracts, with an emphasis on construction-related agreements, and familiarity with working with vendors and assisting in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS 
Office environment. Occasional in-state travel is required.
