Advanced Mobile Leak Detection Driver

City:  Albuquerque
State:  NM

 

This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

 

This position pays between $42,400.00 to $53,000.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

 

About This Opportunity 
Want to be part of a team that works daily for the safety of fellow New Mexicans? In this job, you will be driving a vechicle equipped with Advanced Mobile Leak Detection (AMLD) technology to survey natural gas pipelines,ensuring the accuracy of data collection, and maintaining the reliability and safety of the detection system. 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drives vehicle-equipped with specialized Leak Detection Technology overnight primarily during nighttime hours over a wide range of established routes to conduct thorough inspections
  • Adheres to all safety policies, procedures and driving regulations
  • Operates, inspects, and troubleshoots advanced mobile leak detection equipment. Documents and report irregularities
  • Performs quality control on driving survey and identify potential impact to field operations 

 

Successful Candidate Must Have: 

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • A valid Driver's License and meet the acceptable driving record requirements of the company
  • 1 year of experience driving large vehicles

 
Working Conditions
Field environment. Works alone and without direct supervision. Must be able to wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). May be required to work extended hours, nights and holidays. Must be able to travel out of town with overnight stay. Drive safely in various weather and road conditions, vehicular traffic both residential and commercial.
