This position pays between $60,014.00 to $75,018.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.





Directly responsible for the daily operation of the Energy Supply Business Systems Technical Support function. The nature of this position requires evaluation, coordination, and understanding of Energy Supply business processes and is responsible for completing complex technical information technology assignments. This position enhances the alignment between business processes and technology to increase department productivity. This position requires technical aptitude, forward-thinking abilities, creativity, initiative and resourcefulness.



  • Builds a thorough understanding of supported business areas, current, and future processes to provide leadership in process automation and improvement.  Develops software applications and technology solutions in alignment with strategic plans to achieve long term improvements.  Recommends and initiates technology solutions to optimize department performance.
  • Designs, develops, implements and administers Energy Supply SharePoint and intranet.  Provides technical direction and consultation on content design and presentation.  Works with SharePoint administrators and end users to provide solutions to business process needs and access to data.  In addition, works closely with Energy Supply departments to develop engaging and functional sites that use applications to complement business processes.  
  • Performs daily operational duties including delegating, prioritizing, scheduling, and overseeing/directing the day-to-day operations of the Business Systems Support function.  Resolves daily operational work-related problems and high priority requests.  Also, establishes a strong relationship with the IT and Corporate Communications departments to ensure timely and reliable access to content and adherence to corporate design standards.
  • Serves as liaison to technical personnel within Energy Supply (ES) and within Information Technology (IT).  Ensures application development meets standards set by IT and other governing bodies.  Aids with communicating departmental requirements to IT and with overseeing IT’s developmental work for ES as appropriate.
  • Troubleshoots problems with supported applications, analyzes and takes appropriate action to correct.  Makes recommendations, coordinates resources, and facilitates implementation of changes to processes and software to avoid future problems.
  • Creates reports, queries, and data extracts of limited diversity, providing data to users as requested.  Monitors supported applications to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborates with IT in defining requirements and recommendations of appropriate solutions.
  • Provides input and/or leads teams in the prioritization of technology related projects.
  • Performs basic configuration as well as testing computer-based applications.






Required:    High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:  College degree in a relevant field from an accredited college/university is preferred and may be considered in lieu of equivalent years of related experience.

Related Experience

Required:  Minimum of 8 years of related experience in progressively more complex assignments.  Related experience consists of supporting business areas and applications, end-user support, and process analysis. 


Required:   Expert in Microsoft Office Products.  Proficient in VBA, Visio, SharePoint, SharePoint Designer, jQuery, and JavaScript.  Knowledge of Web technologies and design principles.  Knowledge of personal computer hardware, software and peripherals.  Knowledge of server-based applications, including operation and administration. Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies.
