Responsible for providing strong leadership to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective methods are in place for all of Tampa Electric’s warehousing and Investment Recovery efforts. Also responsible for driving change and providing continuity of supervision across the different stations and service areas. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of TEC Warehousing, Stores, and Investment Recovery functions. Responsibilities include providing guidance on all receiving and issuing of material, the appropriateness and accuracy of all inventory levels, and the effective use of all associated equipment, vehicles, and facilities. 



1. Serve as the Stores leader for all operational issues.  Responsible to drive change, execute the Stores business plan and regularly communicate pertinent information and issues (i.e., labor, procedural, etc.) to the service area’s & station operational personnel; evaluate new technologies, fleet needs and tools. Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit (internal & external) requirements. Oversee annual cycle count requirements are followed per TEC Cycle Count policies.  (20%)
2. Provide guidance on all Stores activities to include daily inventory inquiries, entering and/or approving purchasing requisitions, shipping, receiving, issuing, and returning material.  Serves as an SAP Super User for Supply Chain with focus on Store’s transactions including training direct reports and resolving issues in the system for related supply chain or financial departments.  Leads employees in finding new and/or better ways to perform work functions to reduce costs and deliver better service to all internal and external customers. (20%)
3. Ensures world-class safety performance among all TEC Stores locations and team members and ensure that all safety and environmental standards are followed, especially as they relate to storing, handling, and shipping materials. (10%)
4. Provide leadership to the ED Investment Recovery function and ensures recovered material is processed in a manner that maximizes recovered value in the most efficient manner possible. (10%)
5. Be responsive to overtime requirements, including availability for rotating on-call duty while continuing to monitor and reduce non-value added overtime; approve crew holdovers and/or emergency and planned overtime. (10%)
6. Interpret and administer the IBEW collective bargaining agreement on a daily basis.  Assist in handling grievances.  Proactively anticipate and prevent labor problems.  (10%)
7. Mentors Team and provides guidance regarding daily crew work, stores activities, process & procedures, storm response, IBEW contract application, sick-call, callouts, etc. (10%)
8. Provide support to the oversight and proper staffing of emergency incident base sites, and overall execution of emergency plans, ensuring sufficient quantities of material are on hand for both foreign and local emergency crews. (10%)


Required: Minimum of High School Diploma 
Preferred: Associate Degree or higher level of education


Required: Minimum of 10 years related experience.
Preferred: 5 years of storeroom and investment recovery experience in a utility environment


Required: Minimum 3 years of direct work experience as a warehouse/stores Supervisor. 
Preferred: Minimum 5 years of direct work experience as a warehouse/stores Supervisor.


Required: Must demonstrate outstanding leadership skills as a warehouse supervisor.  Must have a thorough understanding of SAP Supply Chain with specific knowledge of ED/ES material. Must have proficient technical and leadership skills, and a working knowledge of warehousing policies and procedures. Demonstrated skills in management of financial, material and personnel resources; critical thinking, systems analysis (SAP, Workman, WorkPro and Arcos), analytical decision-making skills.


Minimum 40 hours a week with occasional overtime and weekends. Work indoors and outdoors.  Able to manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced, potentially stressful environment.
