POSITION CONCEPT
The Regulatory Coordination team prepares and ensures the accurate and timely filing of all official regulatory documents, which includes providing daily support for various regulatory activities for TECO Energy, Tampa Electric, Peoples Gas and SeaCoast. Responsibilities include communicating, coordinating, and filing periodic and annual documents with regulatory agencies; monitoring and communicating regulatory activities and dockets pending before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) and other state utility regulatory agencies and assisting with regulatory research, involving reviewing legal filings for proposed rulemaking and compliance issues required by regulatory agencies. The Regulatory Coordination team maintains the Regulatory Affairs case management system, web site and utilizes the FERC mandated software and department specific software, requiring technical analysis and knowledge of relational databases.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB LEVEL 1 - REGULATORY COORDINATOR ASSOCIATE
Works with regular guidance and instruction in performing duties of limited variety and complexity.
1. Assists Regulatory Coordinators with providing support in the filing of official documents and annual filings (i.e. petitions, tariffs, testimony, interrogatories, production of documents data requests) for TECO Energy, Tampa Electric Peoples Gas, and SeaCoast with various state and federal regulatory agencies. (60%)
• Identifies and recovers information, data and documents requested through the data request process, reviewing submitted support materials for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinates, compiles and tracks outstanding submissions.
2. Provides support for regulatory research activities, including researching past filings, testimony, exhibits, reports, and other official documents. (10%)
3. Assists Regulatory Coordinators with maintaining the regulatory case management system with official documents and annual filings, including the Regulatory calendar(s) that includes significant regulatory activities that impact TECO Energy, Tampa Electric, Peoples Gas, and SeaCoast.(10%)
4. Supports maintenance of the company-wide Regulatory Affairs Intranet web site by posting timely updates of key regulatory issues including reporting deadlines, company tariff updates. (10%)
5. Provides coordination support for Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas rate cases activity, including but not limited to rate case orientation, preparation and assistance with testimony, discovery process and documentation. Under direct supervision, the position provides general administrative support to the entire Regulatory Affairs department and supports the VP, Regulatory Affairs, as needed. (10% or greater as warranted)

RELATIONSHIPS
Key Internal: Provides extensive contact with company personnel in assisting with the coordination of responses to appropriate agencies with regard to pending Regulatory Affairs issues. Interact with all levels of employees on business/regulatory matters.
Key External: Coordinate with company’s legal counsel and consultants and their staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Associate’s Degree from an accredited college in relevant field of study preferred.
Related Experience
Required: Minimum of six years of administrative/technical support experience in progressively more complex roles/assignments in a regulated industry; or minimum of two years supporting a regulatory affairs/administration area performing work related to the duties and responsibilities.
Preferred: At least two years of experience in regulatory support-administration area
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required: Must have a basic knowledge of electric and gas utility operations and general business procedures in a regulated industry. Solid understanding and use of personal computer applications such as Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Share Point and other PC based software is required. Requires ability to work with highly confidential information and maintain confidentiality while carrying out other associated but separate duties.
Preferred: Basic knowledge of regulatory agency functions; Some knowledge of SAP in the area of SES, SRM, Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders preferred.
