The Asset Management Predictive Maintenance Engineer directs the development of a standardized fleetwide Predictive (PdM) Maintenance Strategies for all mechanical system assets (steam turbines, combustion turbines, rotating equipment, heat exchangers, material transfer/conveying/piping, cooling systems, etc.).  They will identify proven and emerging technologies and deploy the appropriate programs within Energy Supply and Energy Delivery.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Establish a continuous collaborative reliability management process for mechanical systems which involves the development of mechanical system Asset Criticality, failure mechanism Monitoring Plan, Health Indicators/Policy, Asset Risk Dashboard and Recommendation Management. 
•    Further Develop and support the implementation of a fleetwide predictive monitoring / maintenance programs which supports our Asset Class Monitoring plans.  Drive the continuous improvement and optimization in the effectiveness and cost of the monitoring plans thru replacement of time-based maintenance with predictive maintenance and the use innovative monitoring / maintenance technologies. 
•    Facilitates the development and management of Recommendations for improvement of mechanical asset Maintenance Strategy, e.g. capital projects, outages, operational limitations, monitoring and analysis of asset condition (non-destructive and other inspection and sampling) and prioritize work planning and scheduling. 
•    Collaboratively develop, maintain and audit standards, Quality Processes, and procedures associated with turbine assets, large fans, large pumps  and associated mechanical system assets. Identify efficiency / Heat Rate improvements at each of the Stations and assist in the implementation of solutions to resolve the issues. 
•    Development and communication of a statement of health and risk for equipment and associated Recommendations supporting the continuous collaborative reliability management process for mechanical systems. 
•    Facilitate root cause analysis, tracking of reliability metrics for mechanical system assets, management of change including the evaluation of changes to mechanical systems, benchmarking and the tracking of functional performance and condition of mechanical systems. 
•    Facilitate the development, implementation and use of operational and information systems to support the mechanical system reliability process.  Assist in the further development of the asset hierarchy structure within the work management system.

    Engineers, consultants, project, and reliability teams

Key Internal:      ES and ED team members including Vice Presidents, directors, managers, engineers, technicians 
Key External:     Regulators, Consultants, Contractors, Industry Associations, Vendors

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited or mutually recognized prograM

Preferred:    Mechanical or mechanical related engineering degree, Florida Professional Engineer’s License

Related Experience 

Required:    Minimum of 6 years of work experience in mechanical system design, implementation, operation, and maintenance.  
Preferred:    Minimum of 5 years of work experience with combustion and steam turbine operation and maintenance

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA) 
   Working knowledge of mechanical system design, operation, and maintenance.  This position requires a strong understanding of power generation principals, work practices and associated materials.  In addition, this position requires the ability to organize, lead and resolve technical and process problems. The ability to effectively lead and motivate individuals to meet organization goals and personal development needs is required.  Good project management skills, time management skills and communication skills are required.   
Preferred:    Working knowledge of reliability centered maintenance practices, continuous improvement practices 

Ability to work in a powerplant and energy delivery environments for extended periods of time.  Must be able to work irregular hours, overtime, and possible holidays.
