Accountabilities:

 

Our Compensation and HR Analytics Manager will manage the team responsible for the administration of compensation programs  for Tampa Electric Company (TEC) , People’s Gas (PGS/TPI) and New Mexico Gas (NMGC ) in conjunction with Emera Inc. to align the compensation strategy with the business needs while balancing affordability.

 

Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, you will provide business intelligence and communicate insights to enable strategic discussions and drive informed decisions around compensation.    You will provide advice and counsel to the HR Business Partners and Officers on the day to day management and development of competitive compensation programs to retain skilled talent and collaborate with HR Functions for data improvements. You will oversee the design of tools, templates and communication materials to effectively educate on Total Direct Compensation and incentive programs and create processes that simplify payroll administration while balancing the need to maintain market competitiveness and solid governance.

 

This is a hands-on role leading the team that will manage the annual merit review for TEC, PGS/TPI and coordinate with NMGC and incentive payouts and scorecard administration and lead the biennial market review and compensation survey submissions. You will optimize and elevate the performance and scalability of HR systems, processes and teams. You will collaborate with HR functions and business leaders for data improvements and ongoing solutions. You will provide data solutions in support of organizational strategies. You will monitor competitive trends and review pay practices to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations. Lastly, you will conduct ongoing analysis to drive continuous improvement.

 

Competencies, Education & Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is highly desirable.
  • 6+ years of experience in an HR analytical role including 3+ years of overseeing compensation programs.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and systems
  • Experience supporting large scale organizational compensation change management projects
  • 3+ years of team leadership experience is ideal,
  • Creative problem-solver with superior analytical skills, business acumen and ability to present various analyses in a useful and understandable format.
  • Proven ability to influence, convey complex ideas to others and critical attention to detail.
  • Solution focused approach to problem solving
  • Superior inter-personal, communication (both verbal and written) and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including advance skills in Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of some of the requirements
