This position pays between $45,908.00 to $57,385.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

 

 

Coordinate the overall process of supporting Peoples Gas’ Energy Conservation Cost Recovery (ECCR) Clause.  Review, analyze, determine eligibility and process the energy conservation rebates for both residential and commercial programs in Energy Efficiency Collaborative Platform (EECP).  Monitor the program, keep procedures updated in support of the ECCR Clause. 

 PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly validate, classify and approve all commercial and residential energy conservation rebates, through the collection and processing of all applicable gas appliance installation documentation.
    • Validate rebate eligibility per ECCR Clause guidelines; independently making judgment calls to approve/deny rebates
    • Review developer contracts and validate performance according to contract terms; report deficiencies as appropriate
    • Research ECCR scenarios for resolution with solid judgment
  • Respond to residential and commercial customer phone calls and emails regarding questions related to the Energy Conservation Program including program eligibility, guidelines and general rebate processing inquiries.
  •  Assist the department by providing ECCR Clause and rebate related data and documentation for the company’s participation in on-going FPSC field audits of ECCR true-up filings. Support the goal of achieving and maintaining a favorable business and regulatory climate.
  • Support the Energy Conservation program by educating departments about the regulatory requirements for ECCR Clause matters when necessary.

 RELATIONSHIPS

Key Internal:     Interact and facilitate a teamwork environment with various TECO Energy departments throughout Gas Operations, Customer Service, General and Regulatory Accounting and Corporate Communications. Additionally, interface with other TECO Energy subsidiaries.

Key External:     Interact with the FPSC and other utilities, technical and professional groups, trade organizations, outside legal counsel and consultants

 QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required:           Minimum of High School diploma or GED

Preferred:          College degree from a regionally accredited college/university

Experience 

Required:           Minimum of eight years of related office support experience in progressively more complex assignments/roles, including at least two years in a natural gas or other regulated utility or in an industry related to builder/appliance installation; Related experience can include, but is not limited to, Lead Administrative Specialist, PGS Work Coordinator, One Call Work Coordinator, Claims Coordinator, Area Service Coordinator.

College degree may be considered in lieu of up to 3 years of the required related experience.

Preferred:       5 years of direct work experience at Peoples Gas; experience in processing conservation rebates at another utility or experience in the processing of claims.

                        

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)

Required:           Proficient knowledge of utility operations and general business procedures, conservation programs and regulatory matters/processes; Demonstrated ability in independent decision-making with solid judgment; Excellent customer service skills and strong written and oral communication; Attention to detail and a high level of initiative and teamwork are also required.; Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and other PC based software

Preferred:          Working knowledge of CRM/SAP; Proficient knowledge of budgetary procedures; Basic knowledge of ratemaking practices
