The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study.

To be eligible: Must currently be enrolled in an Accounting Degree. 

 

Department: Utility Accounting – Energy Settlements

  • Exposure to key Financial Systems, Month-End Close, General Ledger and Technology Projects.
  • Requires someone who is a quick learner, has great attention to detail and is collaborative.
  • Duties increase in complexity based upon the co-op’s interest and aptitude.

Examples of activities include:

  • Validating Fuel invoices
  • Journal Entries
  • Financial Reporting
  • Audit Requests
  • Month-end Close activities
  • Assist with Technology Projects
  • Ad hoc reporting, projects, presentations
  • General administrative tasks

 

Education/Certification/GPA:  

  • The successful applicant should be in their second, third or fourth year of an ABET accredited university or college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline. 
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. 
  • To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program is a must.
  • Accounting or Finance Major
