This position pays an hourly rate between $18.76 to $23.45 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

 

 

POSITION CONCEPT:

 This position reports to Multiple PGS Vice President, also provides support to the Vice President, PGS Business Development and the Vice President, Tampa Electric Business Development.  This position is responsible for administrative support for PGS executive teams.   This position includes departmental coordination duties of varied scope and complexity. Duties often involve administrative projects with critical time paths. 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide direct support to Executives, using sound judgment in responding and recognizing when issues need immediate attention and/or assignment.   Handle non-routine and complex external and internal calls and inquiries; serve as first level support for problem resolution.
  2. Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and records retention activities.  
  3. Assist with acquisition of office supplies and team member recognition items. Review expenditures and accurately prepare and submit expense reports on a timely basis for Executives.
  4. Monitors and processes team’s monthly expenses, budget reports and assists with processing of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, SAP service entry sheets and serves as backup for program coordinator.
  5. Coordinates all telecommunication activities for the TPI organization which includes ordering all phones or other devices, reviewing all billings from telecomm providers and managing spending.
  6. Coordinates other team activities such as safety planning and reporting, team goal review, staff meetings, and coordination of events.
  7. Assists with marketing activities such as planning, organizing and attending customer and other events.

 

EDUCATION:

Required:  High school diploma required. 

Preferred:   Completion of post-high school courses or an Associate’s degree

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Six years work related experience, with at least two years in a utility environment. 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Required:      

  • Above average written and communication skills as well as strong planning and organizational skills. Proficiency with Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point also required.
  • Must work with our SAP CRB and ERP systems. 
  • Must work well under pressure, demonstrate strong team work skills, and be a self-motivator that needs minimum supervision to maintain efficiency and high work standards.

 

Preferred: Knowledge of the SAP Payroll/HR system.

Some occasional travel between TECO Plaza and other PGS locations will be required.
