Placement in the level is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.



Provides departmental supervision of personnel performing administration, scheduling, and volume settlements functions as they relate to gas acquisitions and the transportation program.  Ensures timely, accurate, consistent, and efficient accomplishment of departmental duties.  Primary process owner and incorporates processes into business systems. Participates in analysis and planning activities.


1.    Oversees daily/monthly processing of business transactions and assigns and monitors staff workloads. 
2.     Manages and supervises assigned personnel.  
3.    Schedules workflow and resources to accomplish scheduling, administrative, and volume settlement functions.
4.    Develops, revises, and documents administration, scheduling, volume settlements processes and procedures.
5.    Assists in the development of Supply Planning functions such as: Demand forecasting, daily forecast report, supply, transportation, and hedging plans.
6.    Serves as focal point coordinating all administration, scheduling, and volume settlements functions within gas supply to ensure consistent reporting, adherence to all reporting regulations, compliance filings, and interactions within department.
7.    Produces formal and informal written and verbal reports and presentations.
8.    Designs, coordinates, and implements training programs for employees regarding administration, scheduling, and volume settlements. 
9.    Primary back-up for administrative, scheduling, and volume settlement functions.

Direct Supervision:        Four Gas Supply Scheduler/Admin/Volume Settlement positions
Indirect Supervision:        N/A


Key Internal:      Reports directly to the Manager Gas Supply.  Has frequent interaction with all levels of business unit, Regulatory, Accounting, and IT
Key External:     Interacts directly with business system vendors and contractors 




Required:    Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, science, math or other technical field.
Preferred:    An advanced degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, science, math or other technical field.



Required:    Depending upon position and/or geographic location, may be required to possess a valid driver's license and meet the acceptable driving record requirements of the Company.
Preferred:    N/A




Related Experience 
Required:    Minimum of 4 years of direct work experience in gas or electric operations, commodity purchasing, scheduling, administration, or planning.

Preferred:    Minimum of 6 years of direct work experience performing the Duties & Responsibilities of this position.


Supervisory Experience

Preferred:    Prefer two years of supervisory experience or leadership role.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required:    Superior planning, organization, and time management skills. Advanced knowledge of nomination, scheduling, and transportation requirements, procedures and balancing rules.  Skill to effectively communicate in written, verbal, and interpersonal manner.  Advanced ability to interface with computer software applications.  Ability to effectively delegate and follow-up on work assignments.



Office environment.  Requires working overtime and weekends.  Occasional travel is required.
