This position will be open to Internal and External applicants and will close on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
This position pays between $46,120.00 to $57,650.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.
POSITION CONCEPT
Under direct supervision, performs geographic information system (GIS) and computer aided design (CAD)
mapping duties. Supports the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of utility plant and facilities
including electronic schematics, maps, records, and computer files. Produces and/or maintains electronic or hard
copy drawing of facilities maps used in the design, construction, and maintenance of gas facilities.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Enters pipeline information and locations into GIS from as-built work order system and proposed sketches.
2. Maps and maintains geographic information system data, including parcels, streets, and addressing from
digital and paper survey plats.
3. Prepares cartographic maps for internal and external customers to represent pipeline locations or analysis
of data.
4. Maintains standard electronic and hard copy maps, drawings, and record sets as changes are received from
user groups, including proper interpretation of construction prints, technical reports, gas work orders and other
sources for detection of necessary modification or required re-draw.
5. Prepares construction drawings for various user groups; correlates user instructions, sketches, survey notes,
maps, engineering drawings, and records to achieve an accurate and functional design layout.
6. Prepares special drawings for various users, which may include plan and profiles, pipeline schematics,
valve assemblies, and three-dimensional representations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: High School or General Education diploma
Licenses/Certifications
Required: Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the acceptable driving record requirements of the
Company.
Experience
Related Experience
Required: One (1) year of GIS experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related tothe discipline.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required: Knowledge of GIS and CAD software, reprographic processing techniques, record managementpractices and automated mapping production skills. Ability to eff ectively respond to customer requests for serviceand/or assistance with a sense of urgency. Ability to use general offi ce equipment, word processing andspreadsheet software. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to eff ectively presentinformation in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions,short correspondence, and memos.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit up to 2/3 of the time and to stand, walk and stoop up to 1/3 of the time. Good vision and ability tofocus is required. Manual dexterity is required. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
