This position pays between $111,655.00 to $159,507.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

 

 

Provides leadership, strategy, and management of the New Mexico Gas Company Information Technology department. Oversees and manages a portfolio of IT applications and daily IT activities in New Mexico. Represents NMGC information technology and business needs and ensures needs are met while maintaining an enterprise approach. Develops, implements, and manages IT strategies, service level agreements, and standards.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (D&R)

  • Partners with the NMGC executive team to determine strategic priorities. Maintains awareness of daily business activities and IT impacts. Oversees, manages, and delivers on the strategic priorities of NMGC IT.
  • Collaborates with TSI IT&T Leadership to ensure that all TSI technology standards and processes for application development, ITIL service management, asset management, infrastructure, IT security, compliance and telecom are consistently followed.
  • Collaborates with counterparts at other Emera companies on like systems and business needs.
  • Develops NM IT roadmap with a focus on timing and delivery and provides input into the IT&T and Enterprise Roadmap development process. Facilitates the reprioritization of roadmap items based on changing business needs.
  • Leads the department in support of achieving goals and implementation of best practices. Meets with the IT team to provide information on direction. Communicates key IT activities to NMGC leadership.
  • Establishes, educates, and grows Business Process Management (BPM) as a core competency of NMGC IT and leverage process modeling as means for developing a Business Knowledge Repository.
  • Directs, controls, and coordinates IT consulting, systems analysis and design, and application development, enhancement, scheduled maintenance, and day-to-day problem resolution activities for the entire application portfolio including mission critical operations systems for NMGC IT.
  • Develops, implements, and manages service level agreements for IT services.
  • Coordinates IT compliance and audit activities. Ensures IT functions in compliance with all corporate policies.
  • Participates on the NMGC CRM Project Advisory Cabinet.
  • Manages IT budget, including direct costs, allocations, and assessments to New Mexico and provide support to PSC. Ensures ability to support cost models to NM Public Regulation Commission.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education     

Required:      Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field, from an college or university accredited by the Commission on Colleges in accordance with TECO Education Policy

Preferred:      Master’s Degree or other advanced degree in an IT-related field

Licenses/Certifications

Required:     

ITIL Foundations Certification.

Must at all times possess a valid driver's license and meet the acceptable driving record requirements of the Company.

Experience

Required:      Minimum of ten years of work experience related to the duties & responsibilities of this position, including at least 5 years of supervisory experience is required.

Preferred:     Natural gas utility experience.          

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)

Required:      Must have demonstrated strength in leadership, strategic planning, applications management, and overseeing complex initiatives. Strong leadership and organization skills as well as excellent oral/written communications and presentation skills are required. Maintain a high level of technical awareness with the latest technologies and practices. High level of customer service orientation.

Preferred:      Working knowledge of natural gas utility operations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Required to work longer hours and/or on-call to handle emergency response as needed.

Position is primarily based in Albuquerque, New Mexico (75%) Travel and time spent at Tampa, Florida Information Technology Data Center is required (25%).
