Student Programs

TECO Energy’s Cooperative Education Program offers college degree-seeking students professional growth opportunities while meeting the business needs of the company. Our co-op program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. We recruit college students to work in a professional environment related to their field of study.

Qualification requirements:

• Enrollment in an accredited university or college
• Enrollment in that institution's co-op or internship program
• Minimum GPA for all disciplines of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
• Satisfactory progress in school and on the job

Completing two semesters as a co-op at Big Bend was the best thing I have ever done to develop my career and who I am as an individual. Tampa Electric empowered me to feel confident in myself and inspired me to pursue my dream to become an engineer in Power Generation.
